The suspension was good for a standard bike but itís easier and cheaper to change springs and shims to suit the rider on the KTM then to change pretty much everything else on the Yamaha!

A mate bought the YZ250 last year. Yep old long in the tooth design but it works. But....they should be bargain basement pricing.

Within a week or two the kickstarter was jamming. Apparently a fault with the original that has never been rectified. Both fork seals leaking within weeks. According to the bike mech, these issues would be easily rectified by Yam!

Whether Yamaha, KTM, Honda or any other brand, they all have their issues.

Would i buy one? Why when you can get a 300 with button start, counterbalancer, wide ratio, a 6th gear ADR and gear in a 2020 model for the same money.

Yeah right Yam!

I never had those issues on the 3 YZ250s I had
Racked up about 500 hours between the 3 with no major dramas...

Because those forks aren't on any other bikes? Clearly a problem with the YZ250...

Doesn't seem right with sss forks leaking so early.
Our 2 yz's fork seals have been awesome and have given excellent service life riding mostly mx tracks and a bit of bush. 250hrs between them.
