Well I guess it is possible a stick could go in there and flick it up. You been riding in terrain that could do that?

As Hairy started off, strong rubber band, figure 8 it, loop over the uh knob, then other loop under the bowl maybe, if you're paranoid enough.

I doubt a stick Pete. Not 2 times in 3 rides.

Nah not paranoid, just curious.

Had it happen to me once on my old 2006 250exc with Keihin carb. I flipped the bike over going down a hill. Stood it back up, kicked it over and it started as normal. Realised in 10 seconds it was running pretty rough, started checking stuff like plug lead and wiring until Nutty suggested the choke may have come on.

Does the choke pull still feel quite hard? Weird to think that could come on by just riding.

Yep. Feels as normal as any other choke, and I've pulled some chokes.

Can sometimes, I ordered a chinese ebay mikuni, they just shipped it in a plastic bag so it got knocked around a bit, choke shaft was bent in a way it would push out and would not return, maybe rare.

I wonder if you have some poor sealing reeds and the pressure is popping the choke plunger up? That is about the only thing I can think of saving a weak plunger spring or loose detent...
