KTM Freeride 250R Revealed

http://www.ktm.com/freeride/freeride...l#.Uh2KYRtmiSo

What's the general consensus? Better than the 350? Will more people buy them?

92.5 kg without fuel - I think that would be fun to throw around.

Edit: Just saw the thread in the KTM section... This one can be deleted.

Thanks for the link. Looks like they have addressed the key issues of the 350 for me.

Air filter size
Weight
Brakes too small
Tyres too limited

Can't wait to get a ride

I like the bike but it is button start only.

History tells that the KTM button starter on the 2 Stroke only work 5 times. What do you do then?

Trials tyres may have converted me for everything except sand and mud.

Keen to see the pricetag of this 250R, hopefully a bit less than the 350

"The power delivery is unique.....linear delivery that requires lots of gear changes.....being in the right gear is essential.....tendency to eat you up if you start making mistakes.......doesn't appreciate poor gear choice at all, and doesn't have the torque to pull gears that are too high."

Wtf?

Thanks for fixing the link.

Doesn't sound like the characteristics of a trials bike engine which is where I thought they were heading by changing the expansion chamber and deleting the PV?
