Crane experts, mechanics.

Bit of a long shot, is there any crane mechanics, service people frequent this site ??
Not many people out there with much knowledge with these, especially my area.
Specifically Palfinger truck mounted cranes.

I’ve got a mate who’s 6’7” and $1.45, we call him a mobile crane - probably doesn’t help though

I'm no expert, but have worked on a few older manually controlled ones.
They're pretty simple really.
Do you need it worked on?
...or just chasing advice?

Need advice, won't slew past 9 o,clock passenger side.
Have some maybe's from non experts...block in lhs slew ram to prevent passing over controls on passenger side ( controls work fine on drivers side )
Or whole mast needs lifting and repositioning, seriously doubt that.
Had the truck for a while and every now and then it catches me out.

Does it only happen when operating from the passenger side?
If so, that's to stop you from crushing yourself to death against the controls.
Likewise, when operating from the drivers side you shouldn't be able to slew over yourself at 6 o'clock.

I can operate from both sides, just won't slew past 9 o'clock.
Got a little more info, leaning towards a mechanical block in lhs slew ram.

Don't think it has them for slewing.

Dunno about Palfinger but some older ones aren't 360 slew due to hoses etc being twisted/torn out.
