Xr600 Stator power reduction.

Hello All, Last year i purchased a new stator from the US which was advertised as a suitable upgrade for my bike. I installed it and immediately it fixed my sparking problem. I started another problem though. I regularly blow bulbs and there is a connector behind my headlight which is fairly melted looking. I read somewhere about a doodad to reduce the power output and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Contact Gosford motorcycles and get them to send you a regulator, I can't recall if the 600's had a separate headlight regulator as well as the one with the capacitor on it or not. If you send them a pic of it they will be able to help you out. And sort out the burnt connector too.
