Picked up a Motorola Razr M for $380 with a $100 cash back offer Nice phone.

Coughed up the $3 for My Trails Pro

Received my Otterbox Defender case
http://www.otterbox.com/defender-ser...efault,pg.html

For mounting i have always used Ram bar mounts and never been really happy with them to the point i ended up making my own.

So some searching of the push bike forums found this thing a Quad Lock.

Aussie designed and made just around the corner from work. Looks like a good thing.

The big question is will it stay in one place on the bars and not slip?

The guys at Quad Lock said use zip ties and all will be good.

For me probably not a problem as it will be sitting on top of my now unused Scotts damper mount. I will need to file some notches on the scotts bracket to use zip ties.

Cool.

It sounds good, but i can't find a hard, water resistant type case for the phone i want to use.

Ive been using mytrails on my S4 to cut in a new track, starting to get the hang of it and it works really good. I don't want to mount my S4 to my bike incase i wreck it, so I'm thinking instead of buying a specific GPS, using my old HTC sensation with mytrails on it and a decent size SD card.

Otterbox don't do there hard full cover type case for this phone, can't find anyone that does so thinking of going one of the ebay type ones from the UK mentioned earlier, have messaged them to see if they will ship to Aus.

Got the Ebay mount and case, they ship to Aus no probs.

It fits and mounts up pretty well, seems sturdy enough but will see how it goes. Can operate the touch screen through the case pretty easily.

Will poke a little hole through the side to run a 12v continuous power supply from the battery and should be a good option. 16gig micro SD in phone so plenty of room for downloaded offline maps, no need for phone reception. Just connect it up to wifi at home and download maps/terrain of area before you go.

Paour, there isn't any chance you could make the tracks thinner ? they seem to have gotten fat again!

I'm still running the same setup inside an exercise arm band wrapped around the bar pad. Works well. Custom android build with no google services to keep the old tech running fast.

Is it hard to type while riding?

What type of printer do you have to fit in your camelback?

I've got a note5 with mytrails but can't get it to work for me.
Once in the bush the map does not refresh anymore due to poor reception I assume and I am not getting how and where from to download maps first so the whole thing runs of memory.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Alternatively where wold I get a good mount for a GArmin Montana?
