Bought this 6 months ago and finally got the chance to ride it for the first time this weekend
Put new bars on as the others were pretty bent
Drained gearbox oil and refilled with 1 litre of Univis hydraulic oil
Stood on the left hand side and kicked with my right leg
Dang dang dang
Engage gearbox and away

So much fun

This is a hillclimb weapon: no clutch, no gears to select, just wind on the throttle and let the 40 year old technology do all the work 😂

Seat is soft and comfortable, great to sit down and let the seat foam soak up the trail trash, the rear shocks are surprisingly good, the front brake is crap, the front forks aren't too bad

Got my bike prepped for the Wildwood day out next Sunday. New ( well, clean) airfilter, gearbox oil, fixed the rad fan and installed, pumped up the Tubliss. And now, wait!

Cleaned out the LHS fork seal and changed its oil ( should really do the RHS too..), got new fork seals , hopefully not needed yet only got 20h ,if that ,on the forks.
Fitted the Clake OLC. Followed the video instructions ( weren't available the last time I bought one), made a huge difference.
Changed the fork oil in the Duke 690. Got front and rear stands ( courtesy of ebay, about 90 for the pair!), then decided the exhaust has to come off, then hydraulic jack, then remove front stand. Bike almost falls over. Lash the rear wheel to its' stand.Better.
Start wrenching........TIMBER!
I've toppled the roadbike into the dirtbike. I managed to save it, no damage as far as I can see.VERY lucky.
Got to go and deal with the rats now...........
