We have used these down in tassie on a few rides now and could not speak highly enough of them.
They are great for those early morning starts , transport sections, or when it rains just to take the edge off.
Steve has done a great job with the thought and design that has gone into this product and it's top quality as well.
I would highly recommend these .

I just purchased one of these instead of a bulky jacket ahead of 4 days riding up at Dargo over the Anzac weekend. To say the weather was ordinary was an understatement, yet the Avade shirt had me snug as a bug with just a Leatt airfit 3DF and lightweight jersey on top.
I didn't even need to use the high setting on long 80+kph transport sections in the rain.
The beauty of this product is at a press of a button you can alter the warmth as required, then hold it for 3 seconds to turn it off altogether, leaving you free and cool for the rest of the day, whilst your mates either sweat it out, or lug a bulky restrictive jacket.

I spoke with Steve before the purchase, and he followed up later on to see how i got on with the fitment and if I had any questions.

at 6'5 and 115kg, the Large size (biggest available) fits me, I would prefer just a little more room in the chest and back, (not restrictive, but snug) but sleeves and body length is great.

10/10 Great local product and after sales support.

I sweat even in cold weather - and that can make me even colder. How does this thing work for someone who sweats?

Good if it could charge off 12v for the ADV market/multi day rides

Didn't see this back when it was posted, it looks great.

+ 1 on the sweat issues as that's my main problem with riding in colder weather, i sweat up in the single then freeze in the open stuff, how does this thing cope with that situation?
Eat sleep ride repeat.

it is just like a skins / compression shirt, so blocks the airflow from your skin, which i presume would stop the sweat / chilling effect.
spare batteries are $25 im told, and I believe there is something is in the works which should aleviate the problem of remote charging.

Would these things do the job in ice or snow conditions without wearing a heavy jacket on top?

Purchased one of these tops last week, well made and cleverly packaged.
I wore it for 3 days straight at work, very cold here in the mornings .

Rode today ,180 km some single track , great to be able to stay warm during transport sections.

The Avade is well made, easy to use and a great bit of kit.!!
