Mt Mee camera

Please be careful when riding Mt Mee. There are cameras set up on the horse riding tracks. Fines will turn up in the mail. From experience.

I'd be keen to know exactly where they are too, Just out of interest.
PM please if you don't want to say publicly.

It's amazing that they go to those lengths to protect the Horse trails yet I've never seen a horse or any evidence of horses using them in 20+ years riding there.
A couple of years ago I spoke with a horse riding lady who lived locally and she told me the trails are considered too steep and dangerous by most riders so I doubt that anyone complained about motorbikes using them.
I did ask the QPWS in a previous iteration to open the horse trails up to motorbikes but of course they had every reason not to.

What a joke. Altec, how much is the fine if you happen to get done?

It's a shame the government is so money hungry, I don't understand why they cannot work with us riders to open up trails for bikes only.

The really annoying bit is that they used to refer to Mt. Mee state forest as the vehicle recreation forest close to Brisbane. I still have some old brochures where it is written. All those gates are just a waste of time and money. They do need to keep control of dickheads but a planned riding area would work better than prohibition.

They still do according to the Trail map. Just not as many trails as there used to be.

That's a really old map. The road to Diana's Bath has been gated off about 3km away for years.

Hey Chicko. I got done for 2 penalty units but the letter sent says they can charge up to 20 penalty units. At this point a penalty unit is worth $130.50

Lesson learnt. Don't ride with a number plate showing.
