Ktm clutch drag

The clutch in my Ktm 300 2015 with 190hrs has been dragging. I have bled the clutch adjusted the lever knob all the way in and check the plates on a bit of glass. All seem okay . Only thing is the clutch basket has small notches in it . Is this enough to cause an issue ? It’s hardened and coated making filing difficult . Should I take it to a machinest to be fixed. Genuine is over $500 and I can not find many after market replacements. Or do my problems lie else where ?

I think you'll find that's the problem.
The only correct fix is a new basket.
Check the hub for similar wear.

doubt its the basket

check the beville washer when you engage the clutch, put it back together do not install the side cover pull the clutch in, see if the large spring washer lifts up the same all way around, if not you need to replace it.

I just recently replaced the clutch plates on my sons Husky. the washer can be mounted in three different positio0ns. Have a play with that first. when reinstalling the plates be aware they have to be stacked in a particular sequence. From memory there are three if not four different plate thicknesses. The thinnest plate has to be all the way on the inside and hen progressively thicker. And use a torque wrench to fasten the washer bolts
