Why no GG Spac? 200 still a bit porky I guess.

Maybe old Pat is following the KTM business model-phark you we'll charge whatever we can!

Hope the GG importer comes good, dunno what Sherco is like? The parts price rise & suspension issues put me off Beta a fair bit. A lot of negativity about them amongst crew over here. But hey, 0 phucks given as I rode Itye Huskies for 8 years!

Too many stories about quality problems in the new ones.

Most of the big Beta sales rush five years ago are coming up to turnover time. I don't know a single person who has bought a second Beta and there's 6-7 amongst my mates...repeat sales will be the test.

Greals was a great importer (and a great bloke). There's some great dealers so that's not an excuse. The three closest to me are excellent to deal with.

It pains me to say it. I have to agree with Nutty on this.

Greals pretty much put Beta on the list of bikes an Australian buyer would consider and made sure an owner was confident the backup and support was there without question.

Hmmm, Lowry now being a bit testy on the FB page.

I'm not ready to condemn him or the brand, but I am not feeling confident that this is going to end well.
To be brutally honest, I had been hoping that we could collectively pressure him to understand that parts prices and availability are big factors in why people buy Betas, so that he might reassess his approach.
Time will tell, but I am far less hopeful now that I have seen last night's FB posts. The vibe is mostly one of arrogance, so I am feeling that we will get lip service at best.

Worth noting how many Beta dealers have taken on other brands since Lowry took over. This must be saying something about the dealers' confidence in him.

*Hoping like buggery that I am wrong*
