I've got a ute pod , it's ready to rock all the time , batteries on trickle charge and all sleeping stuff stays in it , slide it on the tray and gone . The roof top tent with annex takes a couple of minutes to set up . Pic missing roof top tent .

Mate has one, it's great. Not a solution for a family though, rear seating in any 4door pickup is crap. Short tray limits the pod length.

Is yours' a custom build Al or a stock item?

Not a bad option either. The only issue I can see with roof top tents is packing them up so you can use the vehicle during the day, but there are pros and cons to every setup I guess

Abso-bloody-lutely.
Have a look at the Avan range. Not everybody's cup of tea, but several unique advantages.
