I rode it. It was awesome.

These bikes are great, just get on them and ride the damn things. I'm not at nocams hours (only 135hrs) on my 2018, but in all that riding I can't remember any dramas worth mentioning. I've missed no rides, I've finished every one I've started. It starts on the button, its suspension is sublime, it has more power than I can use. Brakes are awesome.

It gets ridden at least once a week, usually short ish technical rides (2 or 3 hours). It hits the floor a fair amount, it gets smashed against rocks every ride. It doesn't seem to care one little bit. It might not look pristine, but it never misses a beat.

Couldn't be happier.

Threw a new front disc on mine, the old style round one. Same dimensions but no speedo magnet hole so I made a bracket for it. New chain and sprockets with a 49T on the rear. Bit shorter than 48 and taller than a 50. Who would have thought?? 😂 Perfect for my riding style. Nice RHK steel sprocket too so hopefully I will not take chunks out of the teeth like the stocker.

New top end.
Replaced the original chain and sprockets that have been on since new.
262hrs on the GP now.
Still tight and strong.
Let the rapings continue....

Last weekend I fit up a Shinko 216mx Fatty that I bought to try out about a month ago. It was by far the easiest tyre I have ever fit to the tubliss equiped front wheel. It basically fell on!
Took it for a ride at the local in extremely wet and sloppy conditions. I was a little skeptical of all the claims about these tyres and to be honest have never really loved any front tyres.
This tyre is the only one I will be fitting from now on as long as it doesn't do anything silly like throwing knobs/splitting etc. It is absolutely amazing!! It feels like I have an extra 6 inches of suspension travel up front, trail trash and rubble is no longer felt, hands don't get sore hitting sharp square edges. It climbs out of greasy clay ruts with ease but holds a line perfectly even in loose sand.
The only downsides are a slightly heavier steering input and it clips the bash plate on heavy landings, but to be fair I need to up the spring rates front and rear so they may well be fixed this week when they show up.
Got some 0.46's on the way from Jan at Shock treatment and had a 5.8 rear spring left over from the TM. It is a tad heavier than the recommended 5.66 but it should be fine. Going to service the shock and forks while I am in there and may even check out the valving for the other KYB equipped bike riders that want some Gasgas magic in their forks!
Damn I love this bike!!!

There my go-to for anything GasGas! Fast service, very reasonable prices as well as postage and if it's not in stock it will say not in stock on their web site, no awkward emails saying "sorry the item you ordered is actually out of stock and there's a 3 month backorder wait!"

Ordering from these guys is how it should be... Easy!
