More the Tarra Bulga end , coming in from near Balook then heading up that way . Reminds me of Tassie , beautiful big gums along the roadside but head off road a few hundred metres and forest annihilation .

When I was in my teens I worked with my father logging, we walked through the bush and selected trees (for lumber and telegraph poles), fell them and snigged them out using a skidder. There was very little damage to the surrounding forest.

Now they use massive mechanised harvesters which need more room and they take everything half usable. It is a lot more destructive and not very sustainable.
It's really disappointing to see the forest after it is logged now.
