TXE250 / TE250 vs crf250x/ vs 2011TE310

The US import TXE 250 is basically a 2010 TE250 ie, with the X light engine, kayaba forks & sachs shock, but no adr compliance.

TheHusky TXE 250 's are very keenly priced & I'm wondering if they would be a good replacement for my crf250x............. it's got 6500klm up now,

The question is how do they compare with the other 250f's, especially the crf250x ?

The only decent info I found on the web about the 2010 te250 is Adam Reiman flogging the crap out of one.......... not very informative really, as he could probably beat most of us on the trail even if he was on a posty bike !

I'm guessing that they are significantly less torqey than a crf, but maybe a bit stronger in mid / top end ?

I can buy a TXE 250 for $5000 less than a 2011 TE310 ..........is the 2011 310 that much better ?

Anyone out there got one to give some feedback ?

it all comes down to rego or rec rego or no rego
what type of riding you do
how much do want to spend

the te 250.... txc 250... te 310... crf 250x... are all good bikes and very little to no trouble
the te 250/310 have a very strong mid and liked to be reved hard
and if disco has his say it will be crf because he thinks it is the best bike in the world
and im not here to bag out bikes like lots of others will

So, you'd just be adjusting the original valves for the first time then I imagine?

CRFxs rock the world.
