I thought I was keen when I was swapping jetting every 5 minutes to try new things out, you boys are swapping rear wheels, cylinder heads and cams in the same fashion, gotta love the enthusiasm!

Substitute your search for head angle with rake and you'll get several answers, 1st one I seen was 27.48 degrees.

Probably better to measure it yourself so your comparing apples with oranges.

P.S... A 6.5mm vertical sag change at one end should alter rake approx' 0.25 degrees.

04 to 06 is 27*56' and trail is 116mm, 07 to 12 is 27*54' and trial is 118mm

4-strokes have one real advantage over 2-strokes. Like the "big bang" theory in street bikes, the firing cycles are spaced longer, letting the tire hook up better on loose ground. And I'm sorry if I have hurt any 2-strokes feelings, but what do I care?

Hey All.

I wanted to get a stock sized CRF 250R Clarks fuel tank for my 04 model CRF 250X but it says on their site that it won't fit the X model. I Emailed them to make sure and they replied telling me it 100% won't fit. AFAIK the stock Honda CRF 250R tank fit's the X so I can't understand why the Clarks one won't.
There's nothing wrong with my original tank I just wanted a smaller one and also in clear. Has anyone tried this tank on their X model?

they will say it wont fit as i have a stock r tank on my x and i just had to drill and tap a new hole where the front bolt goes to hold the tank down so technically for that reason it would be stated as wont fit

new model R tanks definately wont fit....particularly post EFI
you need to go back to around 04-06 (could be more years?) R model tanks to get them to fit the 250 X....i think my R tank is 06. there are heaps on (US)ebay much cheaper than you will get one from clarke.

As Frocket said, you also need to either modify the tank to get the front bolt to fit, or i just drilled and tapped a new hole in the frame to fit the R mount bolt....
