Mt. Mee

One thing that has not changed at Mt. Mee is the hills. It is certainly more taxing than Glasshouse. The condition of the tracks at the moment are first rate. I must say the authorities are doing a great job of looking after them.

However, the only improvement that was voiced on Sundays ride was to make the tracks directional. While this would significantly reduce the chance of a head on collision but it would not account for the yobbo factor doing as they want to because the world owes them. (sorry bit of a dig there)

Anyone have any contacts with DERM that I/we could put the suggestion forward?

Mmm,
I was thinking when we passed that big long line of 4wd's that it was just as well we were all on bikes. I don't reckon 2 fourbys could pass eachother on that narrow track, let alone 20!

They were good about it, and pulled over to let us go first, which was very nice of em. But one-way would certainly be a bit safer.

And as John said, most people do it in a clockwise direction anyhow.

Our first encounter at Kenilworth was not special however that does not excuse my behavior last night.

I intend to follow the advice on Strummers signature block from now on.

Should work, as long as the vid is set to public in the advanced settings tab.

Hope that helps.

I'll give it another try tonite, did it the same as I have in the past.....even checked upper and lower case a few times, had had a few though.

By the way.
If the weather looks ok for the weekend, I was thinking of posting up a Mucky Glasshouse ride.

Might make it a Saturday ride this week, in the hopes that we can catch up with Bob and a few others who haven't been making the Sunday rides.

As I said, we'll see how the weather goes and make some plans about Thursday I guess.

craig, i can't remember the DERM guy's name but if he's still responsible for mt mee he is very keen to work with riders and 4x4 groups.

unfortunately there were no plans though to open up all the single trails that used to criss cross the park years ago. some of us still hope against hope that the hanger will reopen one day. a youthful strummer on a DRZ can be seen in this clip wondering how to get his yellow steed up the hill.
