I'm another newb, for this years VORC And I can't wait for the first round I'm just waiting on my MA licence to come in the mail and I'll then have to find myself a race number. I've been very busy preping my 2011 KTM300exc, and spending way to mcuh money on it I'm going for my first ride on it after getting the suspension serviced and re sprung for my weight this Sunday and can't wait to throw a leg over her. Then I'm going to pull the top end off and throw a fresh slug in it as its now done 80hrs on the original piston.
Looking forward to putting some faces to names and learning heaps at the first round at Traralgon.
Oh and sorry my pit girl is my 58 year old Dad But he is awesome on the spanners, so guess you can't have it all. Cheers Dewy.

Pretty sure you can't get a day licsence for these events but thought I'd ask just In-case things have changed. So, can ya .

Home track advantage would be nice but I'm not getting an MA licsence just to do one round

Can you shed some light about the track?

Mostly like Stradbroke type soil. If they use the track around the outside of the main track as part of the loop there's a bit of clay as well as nice loamy soil.
Same if they go outside of the property. Some of my favourite tracks are just up the rd from the club.

Most of us used to run michelin S-12's I also liked the michelin mud tires. I was sposored by michelin so only used those tires.

Couple of new jumps on the MX track since I've last ridden there but the layout is the same. There's plenty of grip on the actually track, the main starting straight is a bit harder packed and a couple of the jumps as well.

She whoops up bad by the end of the day, well did when I last rode there.

Here's a vid of the surrounding area. this was just after the Black Saturday fires so looks a bit differnt to normal and sorry about the quality of the Vid.

Hope that's of some help to you

Hi,
I was reading the last update about the first round of the VORC at Traralgon, and I was wondering where the motocross track is? Which town?
As we aren?t allowed to camp at the track, I was going to book in at a caravan park for Saturday night. The only Motocross track I can find in that area is just out of Moe?
Or is there a track hidden away near Traralgon?
Thanks Dewy

I jumped onto the Traralgon MX facebook page and this is the location it is showing:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trara...47245671960877

Not hundred percent that is the track for the the VORC (am assuming it is though) and ten minutes down the road are three caravan parks located near the Traralgon airstip, were staying at the Village Lifestyle & Leisure Park.

Hi Guys
I'm part of MCRCV who are hosting this round.
The track starts at the traralgon MX track which is marked on the attachment.
The course I reckon is awsum, I believe they will be using the mx track which is sandy with mainly tabletop jumps and the club have pushed through a lot of virgin cross country tracks which flow beautifully and the soil is loamy. There are virtually no rocks or tree roots. There is some grass track as well.
At this stage there are two loops.
It will be fast!
If there is some rain beforehand it will be mint.
If anyone is toying with the idea of racing VORC this year, I think this track would be fantastic to get your feet wet.
