VORC RD 5 & 6 - Corner Inlet CC and Sprints

Hey yo.

Does anyone know where this fine event is taking place? I'm looking to book some accom, but can't work out where the race will be held.

Can't wait to do the cross country!

Accom is all booked out now, but Keg has a spare bed in his room

On a more serious note, the guys at Prom Port Cottages are pro bike and super friendly to deal with if you're ever doing an over nighter that way

Dial up those compression clickers boys, if they continue to run the same track as they have for the past 3 years, she's gunna be a whoop fest!
I still shudder at the though of Headly, it's where I developed my hatred of cross contry's, never experienced cramps, blisters and general feelings of hopelessness like it.
A few points to consider:
1. The track deteriorates exponentially. After riding the sighting lap, try and imagine how flogged out the track will be after 8 laps... then tripple it.
2. There WILL come a point where all of the lines around the whoops are chopped out and you will have no choice but to pound through them. Try and ensure that you still have "plenty left in the tank" by the time this happens because your exertion levels will double as you energy levels bottom out.
3. Yes sand is awesome and you can ride like a maniac before the whoops form, however the golden rule for us less than uber-fit riders is that the more you back off during the first hour, the less it hurts during the 3rd.
4. Riding sprints on a rough, whooped-out track is a lot harder when you have no skin on you hands and your legs are like jelly from the cramps the day before. If you back of 10% on Saturday, you will more than make up for it on Sunday...

Best of luck, I hope for your sake that they go to the effort of marking out some new track this year, it's absolutely awesome when it's fresh!

Owen.
