Sad to hear mate. This sort of crime is really stressing me out. The first thing I do every morning is check that my bike is still with me. Then I put the shot gun down.
Lets hope the Fbook thing works again, or footage from servo stations etc.
Good luck man.

Yeah it is disturbing about the amount of bike theft lately. It is insured so at leats he wont be completely screwed.

Bad news. I only live a suburb or 2 away. What sort of security measures did they get around? My bikes chained to a workbench in my padlocked workshop at the back of my locked shed, guarded by 3 dogs behind a 6 foot high fence but I still do worry about this. Hope he gets it back or gets a good enough insurance payout to get another steed.

Not good, I live in the area and will certainly keep a lookout for it. At least he was insured but I would presume he would still loose out with insurance excess, mods done to the bike etc. Theft of bikes seem to be getting out of hand, have to wonder if there is one particular large group that is doing the majority or just druggies stealing for their next fix. Most reports of stolen bikes seem to be done by people who knew what they were doing. Good luck to your mate, hope he gets it back and justice is served!!

Is theft increasing or are we just becoming more aware of it ??

Either way these low life scum need to be caught and taken for a ride out bush and left in a deep deep hole.

Hey guys, when driveing all over eastern suburbs on saturday looking for my daughters first car I easily spotted at least 10 vehicles with bike stickers on the rear windows (yamaha racing team, Honda racing team etc,) in my opinion this is advertising to follow me home and you could steal my bike. Prevention is sometimes better than cure.

Cheers.

Spot on! I dont have any bike stickers on my car for that reason. The disturbing thing about my mates bike is that he hasn't taking it out for the last 3 months so its not as if someone has followed him etc. Makes you wonder..

Even washing your bike out the front can attract interest.

He said the bike hasn't left the shed in 3 months so its either by chance they broke in & found the bike or they did their research
