2001 rmx 250

Hey guys,
Wondering if a 2001 rmx 250 would be a decent bike to own, are they easy to get parts for? As I can only ever find parts up to 1999. I've heard they're quite reliable and a strong motor, is this true? Any other comments / suggestions appreciated.
Cheers for any help

Maybe check your vin number and confirm the model. I had a 2000 which was the same as a 99 and I thought that was the last year. Great bike for its age

Restore it as a classic dirtbike and buy something else.

They were the finest bike of their time...20 years ago!

Keeping a 20 year old bike running as a regular rider is not viable, end of story.

p.s. As Hammy said, last year of RMX was MY1999, built in 1998 production run. A 2000/2001 model is over 20 years old. One of my close mates developed that bike for Suzuki, it was a pearler when put back to Pete Goddards spec. Mine and Maddos were the development spec, PWK carb, 50mm fork, RM head. Insane bike for its time. With 6 speed and e-start you'd still buy one today.

It'll be a collectible some time soon, save it!
