Trickle charger question

I wired up a trickle charge to my 500exc battery via SAE plug/fuse etc. Now when i plug the charger in it frequently cycles the ignition/fuel pump on. Is this normal?

Doesnít sound right, but I havenít wired a trickle charger to one of the ktm efi bikes before. It should be wired in parallel to the battery before the ignition contact, if this is done I canít see how the fuel pump is being powered

Post a photo of how you have the trickle charger connected.

I assumed so.

The only other thing I can think of is electrical noise from the battery charger intermittently making the starter relay energise momentarily powering the fuel pump probably a long shot

Iím sure someone will pipe up with a sensible answer.

Sorted, kill switch inline with fuse 1 (fuel controller) so I don't need to remove the seat
