So, today marks 5 weeks in Switzerland......or is it Sweden?......or Swaziland?
Anyhow, the first two weeks were cool, sunny weather and we spent a lot of time at the pool (where I sustained a head injury), and a bit of time in the mountains





The kids are drinking homemade apple juice, and we?re drinking apple cider (and it was potent), we also bought some cheese from the farmer that tasted awesome.
We then organised a house for rent, which is totally unchanged since the 60?s, so I?ve done a week of painting and flooring to change the 3 bedrooms from this sort of thing

It is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, attic, cellar (bomb shelter) and a garage. There was already some furniture here which is ours to use, but we will slowly replace it. Here it is with our ?sportswagon?







The house is surrounded with farmland, which is cool, but also has some minor problems, for example the other day I was relaxing outside in the sun having a beer when this dude turned up:

He is spraying a mixture of cow sh!t and water on the grass. The air wasn?t to fresh after he left, but it also wasn?t terrible, take the good with the bad.

That?ll do for now I reckon, have a slight headache from the street party we went to last night.

At the moment the kids have started school & kindergarten, the missus is working in a bakery and Im currently looking for work. It sucks as the companies ring and organise a interview for 2 weeks later , and then its takes about a month after that to get back to you about whether you get it or not, so far I have had 5 interviews and no answers, but have 3 more interviews next week.

The house has a satellite dish, so we have approx 300 tv stations from all over Europe, man there is some weird stuff on in some of those Eastern Bloc countries, but heaps of sport channels.

now I think Im done.

the decor is awesome , at least the wallpaper came off easy
its not that cold yet, hell its still summer , today is about 17 degrees
the days are getting shorter though, the sun is now gone at 8.30 pm, about an hour earlier than a month ago

That's pretty full on work for a rental, when you move back to Oz let me know and I'll buy a rental so that you can "personalise" it for me, errrr, I mean yourself, but you'll have to pay the CGT, afterall, that'll be your fault.

That swimming pool looks somewhat ancient, how'd you smack your head in that? On a rock?
We have cee-ment ponds here in Oz for swimming.

Go and introduce yourself to the farmer, after a ten minute chat to you I'll almost bet he'll rarely be getting out the BS spreader.

All jokes aside (well, that's what I'm calling them) fantastic looking place, great to hear that everyone has settled in so quick and well done on the reno.
