  • Moss Brothers doping

    So @pulpmx have just announced that Matt and Jake have had their licences suspended following a positive result for performance enhancing drugs.

    Kawasaki have released a pretty vague statement. MA and WEM have said nothing. Neither brother raced at Conondale on Sunday.

    Gee...I've known these two boys all their life, didn't see that coming. Both have had a pretty serious injury record. Bloody shame IF it's true, they're great kids.

            I quoted the source Wazza, shouldn't be to hard to find it. The fact that not one moto media outlet in this country even mentioned it says a lot.

              I'm not on Twitter Ferro, but I was looking for an official statement from Kawasaki and that's what I came up with. Can you post a link to your source?

                Must of used the same team dr that Essendon used.

                    I don't believe that there's been any official statements saying it's doping made by anyone yet. The doping suggestions have mainly been industry rumour spread (although could be true I guess) and apparently there's a 3rd rider who was potentially tested positive as well.

                    The Kawasaki statement was;
                    "Kawasaki Motors Australia can confirm Matt Moss and Jake Moss were absent from the Conondale round of the 2016 MX Nationals on Sunday, 17 July, due to sporting disciplinary circumstances still currently under investigation. Further information will be released in due course."
                    I really hope that this is not the case for the sake of the sport. Here we have two of the highest profile athletes in the sport, with one of the best supported teams and sponsors, having this kind of issue could be detrimental, especially when it's already so difficult to bring new sponsors to the sport.
                    Spending more time in here than out there these days...

                      Rosco Holden said that it is in the hands of ASADA.

                      ASADA only inveatigate one thing. Why MA and WEM are refusing to even release a statement confirming what has happened is beyond me.

                        To save money on Lawyers? Best to shut up and let things run their course. Look at Cronulla/Essendon, that stuff can go on for years. I think everyone has learned that saying nothing is the safest course of action.

                          I don't think Essendons problems were bought on by issuing a statement detailing what had happened.

                            No, but they were dragged through the courts by the Stephen Dank cases for quite a few years. It's called 'small target' theory Ferro, it's the corporate way now.

                              Most likely waiting for the B sample to be tested. That's what they usually wait for.
