Has anyone with a TPI spoken to Rex Fleiter at Fuel Torque? I know the first year(s) EMS was locked down.
Does the MY'21 model come with the tuning app?

I really think that a majority of the issues owners report can and are directly linked to the OEM fuel mapping.
For instance the early years 4T efi were improved in their 'MY upgrades for the next 3-4 years with improved mapping/upgrades.
And even now - 2021 KTM Aust attend events such as Finke and Hattah with Rex along overseeing the efi side of it.
*2018/2019 TPI had a factory service bulletin regarding the Idle Screw/Air Bleed whereby the butterfly stop screw was reset So that the optimal range of between 1.5/2.0 turns out on the idle setting screw could be achieved and allowing obv a good constant idle without it being a lean mixture setting.

And Pete40 no I wasn't being sarcastic nor facetious in my prev reply.
What I was getting at was some bikes (model years) where and are wheelie monsters.
Or vice versa the rider is!
i.e. I rode the first IT465H to hit the ground in Qld oh I recall maye be 1980. Anyway I was no Doug Demokos (The Wheelie King) but that thing,
and maybe same as you referred to your 250, would just wheelie at anytime any gear literally.
It was a hoot. Pity it wasn't mine tho.

Lets not forget that wheelieability has as much to do with forward/aft weight distribution and peg placement.

...my weight distribution's pretty healthy, but I can't wheelie to save myself.
I'd always assumed it had more to do with my lack of sack, rather where I place my peg

The bike I've been riding has a TSP kit. Which head compression did you get? Was there any different ECU upgrade offered? 4.5 turns out on this one is way too lean, hanging idle straight away. I might try turning the idle up next time a bit.

Rex is a good idea. He's the Guzzi guru for mapping too. He'd be worth a call.

Gypsy 501 you're missing the point. No one is questioning reliability or anything else. I'll guarantee that Bolt et al don't ride with mapping the public get.

              • got the med head so i do not need 98 all the time i had first ride with ecu ran fine between 3 to 4 turns out on A/S in the end i just did 3.5 still have not fine tuned it because it just runs well any way, tried it at stock 4.5 still ran good.

my bike has no issue lifting the front off idle in first gear i am runing 14/50 so first is tall but i like flowing trails but still some log hopping at times
