I've got a WR250R with a Promoto rear rack. It doesn't look like Promoto do one for the TTR but B&B do... http://www.bboffroad.com.au/ttr_250.htm

On my rack I carry a Rotopax 7.5lt fuel container. http://www.rotopax.com/

There should be a way of using a Rotopax mount on the B&B rack.

Thanks mate, the ttr one on B&B won't fit my bike :-( plus i want something a little more "AG" type if that makes sense, looks like i'm gonna have to mod something to make it fit.
Do you normally ride without mirrors? thats something else i'm thinking about, if i eliminate the mirrors then i can't break them when i fall off he he.

I do run mirrors, you just cant see them in the photo.

Here is another photo (not my bike) where you can see them more clearly.

I found them on ebay and they work great and are out of the way if the bike wants to lay down,,,,

i got a rack off a stockman and i'm fabricating some brackets to make it fit, the rack cost me $20 so we'll see how i go :-) those fuel bladders look the goods tho.

What about running a larger capacity tank like an IMS or a Safari?

I'm hoping Santa will bring me a Safari tank....

dollars and availability are the biggest killers! safari tanks aren't cheap and this way i can carry other things.

So its finished, dunno how strong it'll be and i'll try and test it out tomorrow, not my best welding but it should hold out.

It was a nice blue i had, thought it would much the purple :-)

What ya think? All i did was weld some brackets onto the frame of the luggage rack then made some brackets that bolted onto the bike, weld them to the rack and vallah! cost me $25 in steel and welding rods (God i wish i owned a mig, would've been so much easier!)

Well i rode for 17klms, as fast as i felt comfortable, took as many bumps as i could and the welds held, the rack didn't show any signs of stress or weakness so all i can do is hope that its all good he he
