  • How many hours per yer do you ride?

How many hours per year do you clock up
(Dam iphone makes me look like i cant spell)

I got my first dirt bike a touch over 12 months ago...2 bikes later, a steep learning curve, lots of cash and a heap of great days out in the bush its just dawned on me that ive totaled 130hrs on my bikes in past 12 months riding most weekends, For the amount of effort and cost that goes into riding this dosent sound like alot of ride time to me...or is it?

So what's the average weekend warrior clocking up on the hour meter per year?

hmmm.. Don't get me wrong though I've had some cracking days and enjoyed nearly every minute of it!

I got my new bike in late August and it's got 44 hours on it already, so probably somewhere around 100 hours per year

A lot less than I like too.

Admitedly, this year wasn't as much as it may normally be from having 5 months off, but I still only did 24 hours, and that's with 2 few day camp trips

Bought the YZ xmas eve last year. Couldn't ride for the first month due to floods. Haven't riden it this month either due to wet weather. It has 110hrs on it now.

before i had kids i was running up well over 200hrs a year....and getting a new bike every year!psm

now, i have 2 kids under 3 and i get probably around 80 hrs a year.....still offloading bikes around 200hrs.
whether you think you can, or think you cant....
either way, you are probably right.

Last year, when I was just starting riding again and getting out as often as I could I probably would have clocked up 100-odd hours. But this ear has been slim pickings with a broken collarbone, stolen bike, etc. I reckon I'll be lucky to have clocked up 50 hours this year -smile

Plus a heap of other bits bolted or stuck on, that protect it or make it look better but dont make it any faster.

180 hours for me this year.

Bit less than normal, usually up over 200+ but no 4day this year.
Sent from my computer using a keyboard

60% of the time it works everytime

suprising how much riding there is involved in a 4day.....
a solid 22 hrs at least just in the event (i reckon 6hrs ride time first 3days, then at least 4 for the final moto?)
....let alone the bike time you need to spend in prep....

I hope to get more hours up this year with the kids starting daycare, but i have enrolled in a uni degree...so i dunno how this will go!

100 in a good year, 50 in a bad year.
It pumps one way and then it pumps the other...
