Ok I got my ktm freeride 250r two stroke.
The suspension is that good it goes over logs I canít even feel them.
It goes up the hills like a gheko
It is 93kg and my feet are flat on the ground.
It is the best bike I could have got.
Lots of torque down the bottom end, doesnít like high speed transport.
Fuel 80:1 so I spend an hour doing maths in the shed when I refuel.
Does 60klm in one tank so I carry bottles of Gatorade with mixed fuel in my backpack.
Apparently Iíve been told when guys get them they smash them and they break not as tough as enduro, but I ride like a fairy so itís perfect for me

I for one am genuinely happy for you Motobird:
... Thanks for keeping us-all updated here btw.
I agree the Freeride is best for you: Well done!

      quote= "Fuel 80:1".. Oil/fuel mix is better 50:1?
quote= "I ride like a fairy". You're an Angel imo.
Nevertheless... A bash-plate is a good idea imo.

You should PM MissyC imo... She's good value.

Negative on the 50:1 hairy. The manual actually states 80:1. They run better on that mix.

Check the Freeride thread on here for heaps of tips mate. Good buy. Enjoy.

That must be some supa-dupa pretty fancy oil then Pete:
Better not falsely "Economise" on any 2nd rate crap then.

Edit: Maybe it's their way of meeting Emission Regulations?
I'm suss about all of that. I doubt 80:1 would be sufficient.

Edit2: At that-such a meager amount: Residue is a factor:-
The 5 or 10 ml left in the bottle blows the mix out to 100:1.

125ml of oil in a 10litre container of fuel. Easy.

My trials bike is meant to be 100:1 by the way.

All I'm saying is... Maybe douse/fill/slosh/mix/rinse/wash your oil measuring container with fuel & then tip that into your tank too.
Edit: I've found Horse Dosing Syringes to be useful in many ways & cheap too; sadly, very few Chemists/Pharmacies stock them.
