Are you new to DBW and would like to say g'day before posting in the forums?

This is the thread to do it.

    Here is your welcome mat.
(Psssst think red pill V's green pill. )

And here is your fruit basket.

I'll get the ball rolling then!

Only just joined a few weeks ago but have been reading for a while rt

Anyway I'm 20 years old and an apprentice sparkie from Albury/Wodonga..On the border of NSW/VIC. Been riding bikes since my 50 cc quad (not very good mind you!) Had a XR70, JR80, CRF230, KXF 250 and now own a SXF 350 (actually bought it off Tony13) and a Ninja 300

I've never raced but I do try to get out nearly every week on the trails and love to meet new people to ride with! Now I have a car thats able to take the bike out I am planning to do the Yack Charity Bash/Myrtleford Alpine Rally this year. I really can't wait!

And if someone offered me a moonlit walk on the beach I'd probably take it..

I started the thread mainly because there had been a few requests and it seems like a good idea.
Seeing as you've called me out.

I'm a terribly unfit, wrong side of forty's bloke from Melbourne's Western suburbs.
My two daughters are now old enough to serve as a taxi service for their drunken father, Woo Hoo.

Bought my first bike (YZ80D/E?) when I was 15 with money from my paper round and rode it at the end of the street and under the Westgate bridge.
          My how times have changed.
Got pinged riding under the bridge - no rec reg.

Sold that and bought a '79RM125 and my big brother used to take me riding in the bush 'so that I wouldn't get busted'.
Anyway, got busted at O'Briens crossing (Wombat) no license, no reg, no 3rd party.
That was pretty much it for my school boy riding days.
          Mum was not impressed.

Had a roadbike or two (RG250 and GSXR1100) and worked for a spell at one of Melbourne's biggest used bike shops, then I got back into dirtbikes.

Bought a '91RM125, then a '96RM250 during my few years as a club pony express racer (best result = 3RD overall up to 650cc novice).

Gave up on the racing (RM tried to kill me) so I bought a '00DRZ400 and finally the KTM and KXF that I currently own.

Found DBW after owning the DRZ for a while and trying to find places and people to ride with.

Have to say the site has had a fair influence in shaping who I am today and I have met some truly amazing and inspirational people through DBW.

Enough about me, what about you, huh?
          Pete.

Don't listen to him Schoob, I only like front bums and cows, I love cows. Cows are so much more forgiving than Goats.

I'm married with a couple of tin lids. Dairy Farmer in Northern Vic although I leased a farm in the Western Districts on the edge of the Otways for a number of years where I was unlucky enough to meet a couple of ****** off of here (Talla and Stickman also Dairy farmers.) and the rest is history.

Hey lads, 22 years old. Have been round longer than this profile, previously ausiewarior - had a yamaha warrior 350 quad at the time.

Geelong boy born and bred but currently working interstate.

Had bikes since 10 years old and had access to 300 acres of private bush with my own sand mx track, owned a gaggle of bikes growing up.

At 14 got involved in racing quads, lied to MA and rode in seniors for 2 years because of the capacity of my quad.

Lost access to the riding land at 16 bought a 125, started racing some club days before getting distracted by 4x4's and building a big patrol to explore the sloppy Otways.

Couple years ago parted ways with the cr and got my hands on the husky 250, met some mates into trail ridding and haven't looked back! Love it.

Last year had a big off, spent 12 months with post concussion syndrome and looking forward to getting back into riding! Planning to shift back to Geelong so ill be out and about in the Otways.

Haven't been on any dbw rides but once the husky build is finished will be trying to get along!
Husky 300 06/13 hybrid. Well the Frame is stock...hang on no that's coated.... Custom build. #huskylover

Hi! I'm Dao, I'm 30, and four and a half years ago I started a little motorbike parts store called Dao's Place. A motorbike shop in Australia is a terrible way to make money but it's so much fun, I love it!

I started riding at 3 on a PW50, had every variation of bike you can think of since then, and now I ride a YZ125. Been riding tight sketchy singletrack for 27 years, scared of high speed riding but I LOVE the tight stuff.

Got a fiance named Hayley, got an 11 week old baby boy named Max, live in Beaconsfield in Victoria and frequent Neerim South on my YZ.

Hope to do the whole road trial series this year. Had numerous bikes over the years and while I'm no gun rider I just love riding dirt bikes ^roost

Name is Dion - only 20.

Been here for just under a year and still trying to get the hang of this bloody panther talk. In other words - i speak no panther.

Am yet to go on a ride with any of you DBW guys yet.

Got my first bike in March of last year after 17 years of convincing my parents i wanted one - i bought one myself. And boy am i glad i did.

been here ever since i got back into bikes a few years ago.
grew up on the south coast nsw, had a few bikes as a teenager. did all the riding round the streets at night, up the bush tracks at the end of the street after school.
had a promising career as a professional surfer and broke my foot on my bike before the state titles when i was about 17. sold the bike.
went to uni, 3 years of enviro engineering but surfing on the side and doing well at state/national level. gave up uni - moved to gold coast - became a professional surfer. next 4 years spent travelling the world surfing.
got sick of it - craved stability.
moved back to my home town, got an apprenticeship as a chef @ 26. and thats when i bought a house and a 01 ktm 520 and got back into bikes.
got right into riding technical single track and bought myself an 03 200 exc which i rode for the last few years.
got my first new bike last year - 13 ktm 300 exc. became head chef at work only 2 years after completing my apprenticeship.
have an almost 2 year old son and 13 week old daughter.
just broke my arm on the bike and about to get back into it.
i love living here, one end of my street is the beach, the other end is the bush. spent years making and linking 120km of single track. ran quite a few dbw rides here and done a few up and down the south east coast nsw. plan on tackling the otways/vic in the near future

good thread - i enjoy reading these, if they are serious
