Weeeelll depending on if he wins the senate and the lower house, if that happens all the left screeching will fade away and America will be looking to recover from the virus and make hay while the sun shines. If he gets elected but does not win the upper and lower house, much like what happened when Obama was in his second term the democrats will look to impeach Trump again and again until they get a result that they want ie no Trump.......if he keeps the senate and loses the lower house we are where we are now, that is it in a nutshell. Now how will it affect Australia? If America is going good so is the rest of the world virtually............and that includes Australia however the caveat is China......they are without a doubt the dark horse in all of this and we have seen that they are more than prepared to use whatever it takes to further their agenda.

I believe there will be no more important election to Australians in modern day then this one approaching November 4th. With our governments stance on China, which I 100 percent support we are standing side by side with the USA. If Joe Biden wins the the presidency I believe he will be a soft touch on China and things will slowly return to before, pre Trump. Which will leave Australians with there arses hanging out in the breeze. China currently is accusing us of dumping products in their countries market to cause harm to our economy already, imagine it without US support. Love, hate or loathe Donald Trump he has been the only one to have a crack at China and have a tough stance.

I hate to say it, one thing I agreed on with Twiggy Forrest speech earlier in the year regarding PPE purchase from China he mentioned Australia should maintain a softer stance until after this upcoming election. He was spot on there as much as I detest everything the CCP stands for

Michelle Obama hasn't helped the Democrats with the Trump can't do the job jibe, maybe it was a small part of a good speach, I don't know, but it's the only bit that the media is playing.

What's better for us, meh, more important to make the best of an outcome you can't influence. Still, Oz media bagging Trump will probably also get him an extra vote or two.

Whoever wins, Australia will continue to be a second tier power, dancing around the major players hoping to stay afloat. The US will continue to act in the best interests of the US, China will continue to insert levers into other country's governments, expanding its influence and seeking advantage. Neither has an interest in the success of Australia. We're not even strategic any more. Just a stockpile of resources.

I suspect the only real difference for Australia between another Trump term and a Biden win would be that a Biden term would likely be more open to communication and mutual benefit. Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his inability to work collaboratively, both within his administration and on an international platform. One would hope Biden wouldn't share this approach.

Oddly, Trumps isolationist megalomania is viewed as a strength - which confuses me for one - he appears hellbent on turning a 'democracy' into a sole trading company, with no room for consultation, dissent or discussion.

If Trump loses, the GOP will distance itself from him so quickly people will get hurt by the shrapnel.. but if he wins, we'll look back on his first term with a kind of misty eyed fond nostalgia.
