Who's got one? There's not many out there. All the sheep go for 300's.

    Anybody had one.

I'm a 250 kinda guy. Want to know what the Beta is like.

It's not for me, just a friend... Hehehe.

The older 250s had less bottom end power and a bigger hit in the midrange and then about the same top end as the 300.

Literally nothing better about the 250 power delivery, IMHO. Sometimes lots of people do the same thing because it is the better idea.

I have heard that the newer models might e different, but haven't spent enough time on either capacity '19 or '20 model to comment.

"Nothing better" than what, 300? I'm not too worried about power delivery. It's the fact 300's feel heavier due to the inertia.

I'm thinking if the 200 has such good pull (for a 200), then how good is the 250?

I got to ride a RR250 a few years back, Pete. Sweet engine, they'd beefed up the low end grunt nicely, felt very different in that respect to my older 250EXC. Didn't feel too far off the RR300. There's the main bearing issue with 2018 to 2020 models though...

I have a 250, got it because at the time no 300s available. I like it, more nimble and flickable I feel than the 300.
I'm only 70 kgs so bottom end is adequate for me, occasionaly I think a 300 may be better in some situations.
Having said all that next bike will more than likely be 300, I'm old and lazy now !!

I have had 3 300's, At the release this year I piced the 250 t/s and the 350 4st as my fav. I ended uo buying a 350 4st. The 250 is a rocket ship and i really enjoyed it, Easier to throw around compared to the 300, just gets on it and goes!! This was the standard model. I think it def handled better than the 300. Think it is due to power delivery as the motor is the same. No weight diff, buy a 250 and then get the 300 kit to stick on !! Thats what I was going to do. You will have a 250 and a 300 for the same money as the 300

Yeah I had thoughts of a 300 kit too. Apparently unlike ktm, 250 and 300 beta run different ecu ?

I had a ‘14 RR250. The Beta quarter litre bike definitely feels lighter/more lively than the 300. I ended up with an S3 head on it to get more bottom end then put a 300 kit on it. The bike will run fine as 300 with the 250 ecu - a little more aggressive, perhaps.

I’m also old, lazy & ride rocky s/t - hence being a 300 guy these days. :grinning-

If I was racing the 250 or 350 4st would be my pick. I had a 300 ordered untill I spent a day on the 350, Can ride it faster and wanted a change, Turns and steers better IMO. Lot to do with lower ground clearance. Still think the 250 is a better bike than the 300 atm for what I am doing. Confused as to why I had a 300 ordered??? LOL Few other reasons for the swapmas well

A Vic mate of mine is selling his Beta 250. Hard Enduro. A new 250 Beta on order. His thinking is the 300 is too much motor and the 250 is spot on. Each to their own. I chose 300 over 250 for resale...

I have a 2015 250 RR Race and I love the engine, it lugs like a tractor down low but still rips up top when the track opens up. Have ridden many 300's over the years and although they're great I just seem to have more fun on the 250 with it's lighter ergos and perkier top end power delivery.

                              What inertia?

As a 200RR and 300RR owner, the 250s I've ridden have ok bottom end and good top end, but there's also a noticeable hit in the midrange that makes them harder to ride than both the 200 and the 300. I am not good enough to stay above the hit, not slow enough to be happy riding below it.

This is what I don't like about them.
