Have a search on the google machine for a workshop manual. They're out there. If that fails PM and I'll dig up my copy I have at home over the next few days. Basically its the same head as DRZ.

I've got a couple of manuals. You should be able to download them from my dropbox with these links. The 02-03 manual has a diagram of the cam configuration. I don't know what year you have but on the 08's gasgas in their infinite wisdom decided not to put a timing mark on the flywheel. I used a screwdriver through the spark plug hole to find tdc. It works ok if you take your time.

When you think you have it right and have the tensioner installed rotate the engine slowly by hand to check valve clearance. You only need to be out by one or two teeth to smash valves into the piston.

Whats the problem? What were your clearances? What else have you tried?

The cam timing in my 08 is the same as the older bikes. I haven't been able to find any other manuals. Gasgas are useless when it comes to providing information about their bikes.

Make sure you are on TDC, a dial guage is best is you have one.
The exhaust cam has the decomp fitted. Position this cam with the #2 facing up, #3 parallel with the head facing inwards towards the inlet cam,#1 parallel with head facing the front wheel.
The inlet cam has #3 facing up,#2 parallel with the head facing in towards the exhaust cam, #1 faces the ground and carnt be seem.
You shoule have 15 links(pins) between #3 on the inlet cam and #2 on the exhaust cam.

I set the valves at 0.13mm for the inlet and 0.25mm for the exhaust. Some parts are similar to Drz400e but you are mostly shit out of luck.
