What did you do to your gasser today?

Starter stopped working again on the weekend, found culprit tonight. Looks as though the bush i used wasn't ideal (had a split in it) and the toque of the starter was too much for it and it's now snapped it's housing. Do have a larger bronze bush which I'll try next but may need to do some alloy filling to help secure it in place.

Its a shame because it was working so well and starting so strong like it was brand new!

Blinged it for Wildwood (thanks Hiroshi), new sticker kit from Willmax Graphics.

Also fitted new wheel bearings front and rear, took the rego plate mount off, fitted a Mitas rear tyre and repacked and lubed the mousses...

Now just got to resist the temptation to go fanging it round the place and busting it up!

Received my new Bendix cover today... Pity I had to get it from a UK supplier, was quoted a possible 4 week wait to get one here, so ordered one from UK last Friday and it turned up today. AND it cost exactly the same as if I went for the home supplier! Gas Gas Australia need to lift their game, it's great that some parts are interchangeable with other brand of bikes but for specific engine parts, especially consumable parts such as the Bendix cover (yes they wear out and need replacing) they should have ready to go on the shelf... But instead they seem to be more focused on selling the new bikes!

Perhaps you should have done. The prices are about the same, and they're in stock in Melbourne.

Maybe , but to my door V going out of my way , plus I couldn't even get footpegs , what hope would i have with a clutch kit !

Postpacks are cheap, and we're trialling a direct delivery that'll speed things up and reduce costs that need to be on-charged.
