At 68 euros I don't think it's worth it tbh. I'm pretty sure Dave knocked the 3 out for me for shits and giggles, with the intention of me trying different setups from 8 - 24mm + stock.. I never could be bothered and have always ran the single..
Actually, my other one is probably on my 2010 model. That would make up the 3 I had.
I run 2 gaskets, 1 each side.. but really you could use any sealant to bond the cover to the spacer if you chose.
And TBH, while the theory is on the mark, I very much double that it would make much of a noticeable difference.. My 2013 probably lost more axhaust volume through dints in the pipe.

Don't get me wrong.. the concept is great.. and given I'm using 50cc less capacity than most you blokes any extra grunt I can get off the bottom without taking from up top is a bonus.
But I'm almost the tightest bloke I know!! Shawbagga probably gives me a run for my money though.. hahah.. I don't mind spending, but I don't like throwing it away. And at the price of some after market covers I just don't see the bang for buck.

Exactly right, I've known about these covers for some time but never felt comfortable parting with my cash for something that doesn't seem that complex to make... As well as being a tight arse too.

Hahah!! Let me check for ya mate. I don't know if it is or not.. but I'll find out.. otherwise I'll see if Deano still has the other one and send it your way.
Got the force case saver. Put it on and fitment is good, but don't have a spare roller here yet up upper chain.
Managed to do this today, droped it in the rocks halfway up the hill... The curse my shot arse legs! Well we managed to seal it up with some putty, lost a bit of oil from the drop and a bit more on the climb up to the top, but had just enough left to cripple it back home.
My question is though, what do you guys think would be the best option. Get a new OEM cover and one of those plastic protectors over the top or go a P-Tec cnc'd cover?
The P-Tec option would be the cheapest because the OEM cover and plastic protector cost about the same amount each, so it would add up. P-TEC claim that their covers are stronger because it isn't cast, but how much stronger will it be?
I know the best option would be to get just the OEM cover and just learn not to drop it as much but my lack of leg and skill tells me it's going to be a on going issue[emoji1787]
Fiddled some more, getting squish for sending the head off
RE PV noise:
Actuating arm is different to the one in that video, and the end of the arm is hitting on the cover. Perfect crescent moon engraved onto the inside.
Tore the gasket taking it off, its made up of a sponge like material I've never encountered before. I hope some goo reseals it okay

I broke 2 OEM covers then went to p-tech and no problems since.]

It's a pity they dont make these covers for Gas Gas. Might be worth an email and the question asked. It would be perfect
