  • Rieju info

I've been looking around at the new Rieju's. Maybe a 300 or 250 Pro for me & the good wife wants to learn so also thinking about the 200 Ranger.

Anyone have any info if the engines have counterbalancers and if they have oil injection?
Otherwise they tick a lot of boxes.

    Thoughts?

Hi mate, if your after the Best of the Best ( counterbalance & oil injection ) you will need to buy a ktm Husqvarna or Gasgas. Sorry to give you the bad news - There is a reason why Rieju’s are so cheap.

I did a Google for Rieju... Seems it's a GasGas in disguise?... Seems our so-called experts are yet to-do a Google?

Yeah well it's easy to pick your flavour of orange/white/red. Unless you have credible experience rather than stories you'd try and keep it positive right?
I'd be keen to hear about what they are like.

There was an earlier Gas Gas morphing into Reiju thread on here. I'll see if I can find it for you but the search engine ain't helpful.

Picking up a Ranger 300 on Monday to use primarily for mustering. I’m a bit broken and I’m sick of having to pick up the DRZ in our hills after 2 spinal surgeries in the last year, and refuse to go to the AG200 until I really have to. The boys (16, 13) are excited too.

And I wanted another 2 stroke before I can’t ride anymore.

Let us know how it goes!

Now that I know an XT300 is physically too small for me, the Ranger is top of my list of choices for gnarly rides (not that I have been riding enough to justify any new bike, but you gotta dream).

Yep the Rieju’s are re stickered proper Gassers. they bought the rights to the intellectual property of Gasgas.
They don’t have counter balancers or oil injection nor do they need it. Peach of a bike with a bulletproof motor that doesn’t boil like a kettle and a fantastic chassis with those amazing Kyb forks and shock.

I briefly rode a mate’s brand new Rieju MR300 a few weeks ago - only had 100-odd km on it. Silly good suspension, nicely balanced, smooth, grunty motor, light clutch, this example was jetted beautifully, looks amazing. They do feel a little higher and bulkier than my 2020 Beta but still agile and planted as. All the good gear - Nissin, Keihin, KYB, blah blah. Great value.

Actually I saw a post from Terry Hay the other day explaining why the WP CC fork was better than the KYB SSS. Mainly due to the bladder but the new WP CC inserts have a piston. Oh well.
