  • TSP head jetting

    Gday,

Just after some info in regards to if anyone has had much luck using a JD jetting kit with a Medium Compression head from TSP. The head is on its way and will come with jetting specs (more than happy to follow obviously). I have already fitted up a JD kit which is running great, and thought I may save some playing around asking the question ahead of time.

Bike is a 2018 ktm 250 exc, 0-1000 ft sea level

    Thanks

      Thank you,

I have full confidence in TSP. When I spoke to them they sounded like they were under the pump so I didn't want to hold them up with mundane questions (they were still very helpful).

I was surprised to the fact that they do not require a squish measurement to cut the head according and recommend the exchange of base gaskets to achieve this. Would you know if this will effect the 250 adversely as far as port timing goes?

they know what they doing install the base gaskets they say and then check the squish, i have run stock and .4mm the bike runs, the difference the head makes with be very noticabale, much more than any base gasket change
