Has anyone tie wired there throttle cable to throttle housing as a stick got caught between handle bar and cable and pulled it out and sent the bike into full revs, still limping after two weeks. any pics of this mod would be good.

I was amazed at the 350 though. It doesn't have the power of a 450 but has more than a 250, so it was just like riding a bike in between the two, wow.

Don't cable tie the rubber cover over the cable and mount! I see it alot and when it pulls out it is very hard to get back in.
Make sure you wire-tie the cable outer to the throttle housing adjuster nut or thread.'Failed Login Notification on dbw - dirtbikeworld.net Members Forums'

I Did mine as i had same problem but had the finger on the clutch thank god.
I has never happened again now that i tie wired the carb and throttle tube ends
You shit yourself when it hits full revs without you twisting your wrist she just screams and pulls hard .. Lucky no one has been hurt with this i think..
Should be done by the dealers for law suite protection IMO
i dont have any picks will have a look online for you

This mod is worth it. I've had my bike lock on flat out in the mallee on three occasions. Lucky I always keep a finger in the clutch
I have thought about slipping some corrugated conduit over the cable as well for added protection.08 KTM 300

One of the enduro racers I know reckons the cable pulled out of the top of the carby on a 300 on a hillside crash. The bloke unknowingly picked up the bike and clutch started it while rolling back down the hill resulting in a broken leg and a few other injuries. I did mine when I got home after hearing that.-smile
