  • 2021 sherco

Hey guys new to sherco and I
Just put a deposit on a new 4t 300 factory
due in October. I have been on KTMs for many years and thought this is the right fit for me now
super excited to get out on it
any tips or advice will be much appreciated

Congrats mate I'm sure you'll love it. I have a 2019. The KYB's can be a bit firm initially so I'd say don't do anything too drastic until they bed in a bit.

I don't think they need any tinkering at all to be honest, just buy the usual aftermarket guards/protection stuff you would normally go for and enjoy!

        The love affair begins ...

        3.5 k
        150 hrs
        faultless

b sure to grease the linkages , assembly grease only from factory..

whelk bearings were light on also

head stem and swing arm was ok .

fit a fan if u like tech .

I’ve been running penrite deisel 15/50 every 5-10 hrs depending on clutch modulation/ and tranny feedback .

mine recently started flaming out , running on intermittently etc .

traced it to a loose lock nut were throttle cable terminates @ injector body .

        torqued up and fixed .

been changing fork oil @ 50 hrs / ok ,

relative to climate and ingress of h20, terrain type creek riding etc ..

does yours have the map switch ??

        Pain is Inevitable...............Suffering is Optional

Thank you Mr CUTTER for the help and info
yes it should have the map switch and a fan stock as its the factory version
when i test rode it last year I left it on the mild setting as it was very wet , more than enough power as im coming off a 250 excf
Super happy and excited about the new steed that is on the way.

keen on the sherco no 2021 reviews yet, hopefully the counter balanced 2 strokes are as vibe free as the KTM's CB motors

almost ordered a 300 factory 4 stroke but a 15.5k onroad it's not cheap and no test rides around and no stock in SA to alteast sit on is a big ask

at 12.5 on road for 250 racing 2 strokes is good value, carb, 10.4 litre tank, hopefully smooth motor and they got a lighter clutch, time will tell once showroom stock is around, they look real nice as managed to find a 2019 300 se factory 14.7K on road, next level finish on the bike compared to KTM
Total Entertainment 14 250, STIC powered, KYB suspended.

I am aware of Dan and we did speak but its a 3 hour drive and if any servicing or warranty claims need to be looked its a long way to sort out so i can wait, stock will arrive, still have a great bike to ride.

OMG what an amazing bike, my first ride today the motor is faultless, no flat spots like my kato, no need for a tuner from my point of view.
And with the suspension, needed to back it off a little bit , but just waiting for it to bed in
                    It just rides so well
