      • yeh mate rego required, you won't find many people who will accept non rego bikes on an organised ride, creates hassles for those who play by the rules, theres still plenty who ride out there with no rego but remember no insurance either when things go pear shaped

        • Hey Dan,

Whenever you ride in any State Forest, you need to have rego and a licence.

As Glenn said, we would not be too keen to ride with anyone who does not conform to those rules, as it puts other riders in the group at risk of legal troubles.

Rego for a single seater is cheaper than a dozen visits to a moto park, so I reckon it's well worth doing if your bike suits it.

Hope you can join in soon!

          Cheers, enjoy the riding.

can you get a recreational licence, i know they have it down vic

              • Unfortunately there is no such thing as rec rego such as down there, your best bet for now if you don't have rego'd bike is to head to the ride parks such as manar park etc,if you don't already have a licence then I'd sit that too,you can ride on your learners if you have someone with you,you can even get 450's that are LAMS bikes so most bikes under 450 will be on the list

                  • Mmmmmmm mud

Ahhhhh... The delicate fragrance of Beerburrum mud!

A subtle blend of the essences of cow shit, mens locker room and diesel fuel...

A miasma that clings to you long after the ride has finished, reminding you of how FREAKIN GOOD THE RIDE WAS!!!!

Another absolutely brill day at Glasshouse.
Of 18 riders who initially signed up for the ride, 10 showed up at Woodford this morning.
A perfect size group, and really what we had aimed for in the beginning.

Me, Jo, Baz, Mick, Melissa, Leanne, Zimmo, Craig, Beau and Anthony were joined at the last minute by Glenn. A profusion of Euro machinery, dotted with the occasional Yammy.

From Woodford, it was flowing sandy tracks and whoops again. A fantastic way to warm up before the day did it for us.
Melissa was carving up the tracks like they were a Sunday roast, and as usual Baz, Zimmo, Mick and Craig were setting high standards for corner speed.
A nice hit of adrenalin brought us to Woodford Beerwah road, and from there it was single track, log jumps, water crossings, bog holes and plenty of de-weighting until we reached the powerlines for a rematch of last weeks trials.

We caught up with Peter GG and his homies. so we decided to take a little break for a chat...

Zimmo had had enough standing around, and despite being assured that we would move on soon, he could not be stopped from throwing a tanty.
Dropping to the ground and hammering his fists like a madman, shouting 'I WANNA GO PLAY, I WANNA GO PLAY!'

Eventually we managed to calm him down enough to remount and hit Triple Step for some fun and games.
Jo went down nice and smooth, despite a busted up hand from a recent fall.

Mel looked like she was going to launch the new beast into space at one point.

Mick did his best Mr Foo impersonation, followed by an Australia Crawl through the mud.
And Zimmo made the best save of the day, when Leannes bike decided to grab a piece of ass on the way up a rocky hill. Legendary.

                    Jo on the rocky stuff

Mel got stuck too, but insisted 'I CAN DO IT!'

Craig was taking no prisoners today, after last weeks less than perfect hill attempts, and today certainly made up for it. Craig, you got your mojo back!

Beau just about snapped off a leg on the same hill, and I reckon will be walking a bit funny for the next few days.

By midday, Leanne and I had both had enough of the heat on the tight stuff, so we all decided to hit the open trails back toward Woodford again. Man, what fun!
So much water on the tracks, and some slippy mud thrown in for good measure, made this my favorite part of the day. At one point we rode in wheel deep water for about 100 meters. Cool...

Back to Woodford for a pie (or a vegetarian pasty with sausages??).

Once again, thanks crew for a ripper day out in the mud. And I apologise in advance for those of you whose spouses decide to divorce you after they find out what you smell like now... mmmmmm... mud!

Mick was well pleased with himself for trouncing me in a drag race up a slippery fire trail.
Yeah, you won Mick, but don't you think it was unfair to jam that stick into my spokes?

Melissa with the new man in her life. We wondered why she was smiling all day long...

Jo wanted to see how far she could stick her gloved hand up her nose... fortunately we were able to talk her out of it!

                    Mick d carving it up

                    Anthony doing the same...

                    • Thanks Mr B for taking the reins and giving me a chance to shower Mick, Jo and Mel with mud and crap! Woohoo!!! Still smiling.

Thanks also to Mick and Craig for taking over sweep duties in the absence of our usual broom guru Bob. (hope you had a good one too Bob)

Video will be up in a couple of hours :-)
