I really hope I have my fork back in time...had to get it fixed up due to a nice leak...fingers crossed it comes back to me by the end of the week hey.
also, is this ride likely to be a big sloppy mud fest?? if so then I'm not going to bother cleaning the boots off, lol. I just have no idea what the rain situation has been like up north.

Nah, apart from the usual Beerburrum slop pits, the ride will be easy peasy.
We can avoid the real mucky stuff, and just hit some easy trails to get to some practice areas.
Much like Mel's ride, except more interesting stuff.... and 50 less riders
