The battery tray is pretty much the top of the airbox so holes will be no good there, something I have been thinking of doing is swapping in the KX airbox which is bigger and will relocate the battery, maybe if mr taxman is kind to me otherwise it can go on the list for one day.

Maybe a drain hole through the back of it.

            • Looks like I missed a great ride! Some good videos.

Bad news for Ro with the knee. Hope it heals fast and no major problems along the way.

I'm keen for the next Strummer's ride! Got the itch again.

              • I was thinkin about hitting Mt Mee on Sunday if the weather's ok.
Saturdays forecast is rain periods at this stage, so Glasshouse will be a no-go.
Mt Mee is usually lots of fun after rain, and not many bottomless bog holes either! Oh, and it's full of whoops! :grinning-

                  • No worries Drew. Guess we'll see how the weather looks later in the week, and make a decision then.

What grade ride for this 1?
Keen to have a ride in a new area (to me)

                        • You'd be right Curtis.

Mt Mee is generally less technical than Glasshouse.
Less mud, less ruts, less rocky hills, less tight stuff.

The fun in Mt Mee comes from having a slightly faster paced, flowing ride, where you really get into the zone. And there are a couple of nice hill climbs too! (sure Drew remembers one in particular, on his old XR).

So it's still a grade 3 ride, but with 2 - 2.5 terrain, if that makes sense.

                          Good fun.

Of course, you don't have to go fast. Ever.

                          • Count me in!
I really enjoyed some of the flowing faster stuff on the last ride I did.
Fun to get the back hanging out a little and catch some air over some of the whoops. Hopefully I don't come undone!

Well then.... you better put the mee back into Mee next time we go!

I won't make the obvious joke about mounting mee^rof

We can head in there again in a couple of weeks if you like Claire. You'll love the whoops, especially the uphill ones, you get some good air if you hit them fast.
