    Thanks for posting.........

I'm keen (haven't been there before) I could make it on the 28th if that's any use (the 21st is too soon after the Jews Creek ride).

Cant do the 28th, day after my mates wedding dont think I will be completely up to riding

Monarto riding park, ive never been there but my mate has, I hear its a pay to ride park like pt gawler, but more just a big enduro track. I dont really know that many places to ride other than Pt Gawler and out in the mallee so were going there to give it a belt. I dont know what to expect!

thanks for the invite but its the wife's b'day so i will be stretching it a fair bit (we are going water skiing instead)

The place is called Stonewell Park (ring Bridgelands Motorcylces for info)

it is a big paddock with:

                - big but rocky & tight enduro loop 5/10
                - small rocky enduro loop' 5/10
                - motcross track - 6->7/10
                - big arsed long & sandy motocross track 4/10
                - small dirt track - 6/10

It is not a bad place to ride and give a bit of variety.

Bad news though is that we found out last week that it is now only open once a month.

Also I am told you now need to be either:

                - licensed & rego'd'
                - MASA competition licence
                - MASA rec licence

it would be good to hear this info was wrong

Bummer cos it gave a lot of people a choice (other than PtGawler)

Im not really into the Pt Gawler style of riding, i prefer riding the trails and back tracks around diff parts of the state. We quite often go riding nth of gawler/truro area, let me know if youre interested in going for a ride? I'll have to check to see if they are open this weekend then. Cheers for the description I didnt release quite how much they had there

Id be keen to go riding on the trails out north if you are looking for extra riders. I ride a 01 wr426 and am probably an intermediate rider. I guess I mostly overtake people on the pt gawler enduro track, but get passed myself aswell.

Sorry to hear of your injury AzonIc - GWS.

Ok is anyone still interested in this ride? Due to the complete bollocks up (for several reasons) at Jews Creek last weekend I've put my foot down with the Mrs and told her I'm off riding this w/end.

I declare the grade of this ride 1 to 4 ie. as easy or as hard as you want it be. I'll be doing grade 1 to 2 as usual.

I have contacted the owners re riding there.

They are open Saturday and Sundays and most public holidays from 10am to 5pm. The cost per bike is $15.

The difficulty with this location is that from October to April they receive many private (block) bookings from m/cycle dealers etc. which means that the general public get turned away if you don't ring beforehand and check.

The story for this weekend is that they are open to the public Sat and Sun..........

If anyone wants to meet up this weekend let me know ASAP by private message along with your contact phone number and real name.
Otherwise I'm off to Port Gawler (tomorrow-Sat 8am start) to practise that sand technique which I have so little of.

Crazy - it's good to see they are still open each weekend - can you publish the phoe number of the Stonewall Park guy.

I used to have it but can't find it.

Not sure why Bridgelands told us he was now only open once a month - maybe misunderstood.

Can't ride this weekend - as taking wife skiing - b'day duties and it is the first warm(ish) weather.

Good luck with the sand - Stonewall park would definately be the place to learn - there is a lot of sand there.

                              cheers.
