I couldn't find any points posted yet, but North bannister roadhouse is a great starting point for a ride.

I will be going this weekend hopefully so anyone up for a ride post a reply.

The best two places i ride in perth are Metro rd on the brookton hwy, and goorie rd off the gt eastern hwy.
To get to metro rd drive down the brookton hwy about 30 km after you pass the suburd roleystone. The common meeting point is about 13 km down metro rd. This is a very popular place for rides with many single tracks around.
To get to goorie rd travel east on gt eastern hwy. It is roughly 15 km from mundaring townsite. It will be on the right 1 km past old northam rd. Head down this rd and turn right at the first y junction and left at the next y junction. This is and awsome place if you like hilly single track riding. I'm there with a few mates every weekend if anyone is up for a real challenge

I know why don't we post up all the riding locations on here that are not really all that legal so the rangers and police can just keep track on what everyone is doing !!!! If your going to ride in water catchment areas its best off to keep it to yourself or those in the know. Heaps of people in these more sensitive areas will ruin it. The East coast is heavily monitored don't wreck this place too. You don't know who is watching the net. Play it like secret squirrel fellas .

Im from Collie originally and have some of the best riding areas in the country at my doorstep. You guys want FUN, you ought to head to the Mornington Mills area east of Harvey. Hills and creek crossings everywhere...Hilly pine plantation and single enduro track winding all over. It has been my riding area for years only 20minutes ride from my driveway thru the scrub. Take a GPS, I know the area and I still get lost occasionally. Dont go alone either, there are some nasty dropoffs out there and you wont be the first to have the SES out looking for you.

Did a fair bit of riding in the Welly Dam area over the years when I was growing up un Bunbury. It is still great. My mates tell me that the small amount of good riding in WA means that you gotta be real careful of people coming the other way.

Victoria on the otherhand is dirt bike heaven compared to WA. Creeks and river crossing everywhere and you can ride from melbourne to NSW on dirt the whole way dropping onto bitumen only to get fuel in towns. And awsome scenery.

If you get the chance come over for a look.

You will not see this in WA.

                  Cheers,

G'day guys, I'm now living in Perth full time and i've finally brought my bike over from Geelong. I'm looking for some more information on riding spots down south. Can anyone tell me or message me where to go around the Collie area . A place where i can park up and go for a ride. And one other things is there any Trail riding clubs over here like the OTR back home ? Cheers

Only down that way last week. Heaps of tracks off Mungalup Road. Park near where Mungalup and Phoenix Road meet (near a pump station on a right hand corner), its only a 5 minute drive south of Collie. Lots of riding, power line tracks and forestry roads, can get through to Wellington dam with a GPS.
If your looking for a place to stay check out the Federation Hotel in the main street. 50 bucks a night but you share bathrooms (nice and clean) and a laundrymat within walking distance around the corner.
Make sure you take a mapped GPS and a few mates as the bush is thick and the tracks go in every direction, very easy to get confused. If you get lost you will never be found.
Check out Google Earth, lots of riding north of town but we never got to check it out as we moved onto Manjimup .

                        Happy Trails

All hills no flat. Mostly pea gravel tracks with leaf litter on top.........two wheel slides everywhere with fishtales untill you back it into the next corner. Every type of track you can think of and expect to rip the guts out and destroy your tyres on the gravel.
Make sure you take the BEST insect repellant you can find as the march flys are insane and they will ruin your day. Swarms of the buggers, even worse further south. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!!!!.

Adon, started our rides off Graphite Road. Used the car park at the start of Pine Creek Road (left hand side, few minutes past 4 Aces turn off) near the watering hole/dam just off the road. Rode south East and came across a great track on the banks of the river that passes under 1 Tree bridge which you can access off Henwood Road. Check Google Earth and click the roads icon to bring up names. Few fallen trees that you need to climb over/under to continue but over all very acessable. Rode about 140km of tracks and hardly scratched the surface. Maybe covered 1/4 of the bush on the southern side of Graphite Road. We were planing to ride through to the south coast but couldnt make the distance even with use of high speed gravel roads and water bottles filled with fuel.
The other starting point was just across the road at the intersection of Austin Road and Lewin Road. Rode north untill we hit Gold Gully Road. Again only did a small section (100km+) and never rode the same track twice.
Due to storms forecasted we had to cut our trip to a few short days in Manjimup
Lots of logging tracks and disused roads, very suprised if you have not ridden there yet as there were some signs bikes had been out there and being so close to town. Must admit, it was well worth the 700km drive to get there and hope to return with bigger tanks and more time up our sleeves.

                              Cheers
