    Great day out.

First ride in the area and had a ball.

Thanks very much for starting this report Denis & for the vid mate looks great.

Well we had 10 riders from a possible 12-13 I think. Those that didn't come missed out on a great day! -smi

The weather just managed to hold out all day with only a drop or 2 here & there towards the end.

Surprisingly in places it was a bit dusty but most of the trail was perfect for riding. Not too hot, not too cold... just right.

After a quick pit stop @ Imbil 9:45, headed back out for quick second half 10:20. Had a small pile-up just before the lookout section - got it all on film - paused on Borumba Lookout for a while then headed for Slippery T.

We passed 3 other riders (Manager? or Hory?... I have no idea). A few going down on some descents, but only bruises. Was that steam or a motor problem from your Kato Claire? I like your crashing style...... just laugh the whole time & it'l be fine. Awesome!. ^rof

Got some funny footage @ T with just enough dampness to make it stand up to it's name.

Made it to Glen's hill on record time with a group this big 2-2:30... about? I reckon the new bulldozed trails will be really nice in a few months... although a bit short. Glen's Hill got some good footage, then headed for the last run along Top Ridge for camp. ^roost

All in all, a very awesome day, with great company & record time for a group this big (10). I was happy that everyone made it back in 1 piece & bikes in good order.... maybe a few new scratches & bruises for Claire... sorry bout that Claire. :grinning-

A few quick beers & a laugh at camp before a shower rolled in, then we all bailed.

Thanks heaps for those sweeping & helping out. Great to meet some new riders as well. Hope you guys had a great time, maybe next time I'l make it more interesting!! mwahahah

I have some pics from Imbil, working on vid, hope to get it up in a few hours.

Cheers guys & thanks for coming along!!!:grinning-

    Cheers.

There's normally a couple of water crossings there that I like to wash the bike in,from dennis's video it looks dry as a bone out there. How are you liking the honda Peter?

We only had that rocky creek crossing at the start, that's about it.
                Cheers.

Great work Dennis, wow I always wondered what it would be like to be riding in 2029...^lol

You got G.I.M.P.s offs including his Harry the Potter moment in the orange clay, just missed Rabs one on the way in to Glenn's hill.

                        Cheers :grinning-

Really enjoyed this ride after being off the bike for about 5 weeeeeeeks!

Special thanks to Rabs for helping out with a few little WR mods worked a treat, best I've had the bike going. A combination of carb mods and installation of the tubliss system made a world of difference, realy made riding so much more enjoyable. You can never under state how much setting up the bike can help your riding enjoyment.

Was a bit unsettled at the start and was on the gas a bit too much and did a big lock up on a sharp bend with a deep gully full of trees, hit the power like I saw on the vids and to my amasement the bike picked up a straight line out of the corner andback on track, would have looked awesome except it was pure ASSSS. Settled down after that, tracks were cleared off logs and some graded, made it easier but still enjoyable. Usual good break at Imbil with the great table service.

Off to Burumba lookout, I wipped passed Ant on the big rocky section and missed all the action and carnage unfortunately. Saw Frank and Co at the top. Came across another group of 3 further along just before Slippery T, one guy freaked me a bit, he was cross eyed, how does he ride like that two of every thing?

Some fun at slippery fish tailing all the way up.

A change of the usual route gave us some great trails up along some ridges, one climb section had the usual square rock in position in the exact place where you need it clear. Clair hit the rock and it flipped her bike around and down she went. I noticed clouds of blue smoke after that and thought was that Kato a 2 stroke, might be in for some valve guide seals I think after the bike was laying over, saw it clear after a bit.

Great work Claire for not giving up and getting up that hill, well done to those who helped her.

No offs for me this ride (for once) overshot a deep rut near to the end and took a stroll into the Lantana, had to drag the bike out and break off branches, that stuff just gets into everything.

Near the start of the ride into Glenn's Hill I saw rabs come to grief on a rocky wash out.

Some recently graded sections both ruined the start of the Glenn's Hill section ohthers made it really interesting will some steep climbs, Looks like they will be clearing this area soon.

Up Glenn's Hill, got caught in deep rut took the wrong line to the left but cained it, paddled and made it through to the top.

All up a great and interesting ride with some new faces and some funny moments.

                          Great work Ant.....:grinning-

We didnt do the usual water crossings Glenn, we didnt go to Glenn's Water Hole.

Remember last time you took the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Submersible through there, here's a pic of that memorable day....^lol Glen on the bike and Bushmaster swimming down to help him retrieve the bike, hope it starts again...
