2018 GG stock fork valving

Little while back someone posted up the stock Gasser EC300 fork shims etc
Want to get a copy of it again and compare it to the Sherco KYB's setup and take what I like from both and create a nicer setup for myself

I remember with Nates post thinking that GG had a shiteload of float. I've actually started putting some more hours onto my 2018 and I'm not sure how I feel about it.. It's soft and supple and very comfy, but it felt rather busy when smashing into things at a decent pace.

I haven't played the clickers to see what I've got.. but from what I know, my 2013 with KYBS has a lot less float, a firmer ICS spring, and a firmer main spring.. so no real surprise that they feel different.

I prefer the initial part of the stroke into the Mid on the Gasser but the firmness of the Sherco Mid through to the bottoming
I find the Sherco has quite a firm initial part of the stroke to begin with which at times can be a bit harsh in the feel where it tracks perfectly then spontaneously deflects for no apparent reason.
Overall I like both version of the KYB's but like to have the best of them both in the one bike ^roost

The GG's have 0.7mm+ from Nates measurements.

Given the stacks that have been posted and the feedback from the OP. I would assume that the Sherco would be tighter than the GG, and the sweet spot somewhere inbetween.

Don't under estimate the ICS spring rate and +/- preload on feel and action as well. Really need to evaluate the setup as a whole.

I got the specs from the Sherco forum, I have asked the question myself but waiting on a reply at the moment

I've played with ICS springs from 1.7-2.2 always found the softer ones to feel like mush has always been on 4st's though. Funny I rode another fella's Gasser GP on here with his revalve and his forks are softer than mine however feel harsh and horrible. Hard to compare as they are different bikes but the feeling is pretty obvious. ATM we are riding sand most of the time due to lock down can't wait to get back to the races and some loam and clay, I find if my bike needs heaps of cranking up for sand then it can be adjusted well to work in our race terrain, there are so many factors and personal preference is a major one. Do any of you guys run a light bleed stack on the 2st's or have experimented with one ?

Fair suck of the sav, there Marty! If its my bike your talking about, since my revalve, you only rode it for about a minute on a 3rd gear sand track.
For where we ride I think it's better than what it was, but I'll go back to a third face shim on the mid and maybe look at the base valve stack which is still std.
